The amount of cards that make up a deck will depend on the type of cards we play with, as there are various types of decks such as the poker deck, the English deck or the French deck. Each of these decks has a different number of cards, but how many does each have?
How many decks of cards for poker have?
In the case of cards to play poker, we found 50 cards divided into 4 groups:
– Diamonds: composed of 12 cards
– Clovers: consisting of 12 cards
– Spades: composed of 12 cards
– Hearts: composed of 12 cards

The English deck is very similar to the poker deck, both in appearance and quantity. This deck has the 4 suits of the poker deck. Diamonds, Spades, Clovers, and Hearts, but unlike the previous one, the English deck consists of 52 cards.
This is because each of the suits consists of 13 cards, instead of 12. Among them, we find 9 cards with numbers: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 4 cards with Letters: A, J, Q, and K.
How many cards does a French deck have?
The French deck is the origin of the English deck, so the English and French are exactly the same, except for some differences:
